Ghostly encounters over the course of years, has earned its reputation as being harmful to humans as the scare tactic has elevated. The root of the cause could be associated with the fear of the unknown and what lies beyond this existence as we all know of it. Most people would admit that they would be completely frightened if they ever encountered a ghost, it is the thought of something leaping out from nowhere unexpectedly without so much as a warning beforehand. Even seasoned investigators may not  be prepared for such a happening.

The fear factor could also be that ghostly happenings cannot be controlled and they come and go as they please. Ghosts are something that is uncertain and with that comes fear and the question of why they are even here is a question that still cannot be answered. No one knows for sure what triggers paranormal phenomena.

So, what does a ghost represent? A ghost is believed to be the form or spirit of a dead person appearing to those still living; the visible disembodied soul of a dead person. There are many definitions of this word that mean the same thing. Not only do we have the thought of seeing a ghost, but the mental thought of death itself. We all have thought about this one time or another, what happens after death? Could this be the main reason so many are frightened? I wish I had the answer, hopefully one day we will.

How can we change this perspective and give a different outlook on the paranormal? It is a hard question to answer since over the course of years movies, books, folklores and tales have portrayed ghosts as being scary, bad and evil. People do not change their emotions or their personalities after death, plus they do not turn evil.

There have been a few cases from around the world from people who have experienced unexplained paranormal phenomena and explaining that witnessing this event had changed their life in a good way. It has helped them cope and understand that seeing is believing.

The paranormal world is a huge place and people are more open now than ever before, with so many questions about the paranormal, it’s hard to grasp what the truth really is. But for the majority of the population, the question of whether or not this anomalous phenomenon really exists is still up for debate. We as paranormal investigators know and do not need to be convinced. But the other half has a hard time unless they have a personal experience of their own. There are far too many unexplained occurrences to cast them aside as some sort of coincidence.

We can take the word “fear” and consider it man-made; you can overcome this by taking your life back and standing your ground. You are the one with the power and never give this up by showing fear. My advice would be to eliminate fear, evaluate the personal experiences and read up on the true facts of paranormal phenomena.
