When does reality set in on your paranormal research? We all know as seasoned investigators how much work is involved in running a group. The basics are long gone and building a steady structure within your group is an ever changing concept. How far do you want to go? This depends on how much desire you have to push forward into to this exciting field.

The most important part of a team is its members. Without members you are flying solo with a one way ticket. Team members each have specific duties in the group which makes the group run smooth. When members of your group pitch in and help complete a case from start to finish they have the same passion for helping find the truth and the desire to keep the group together. But when there are only a few that want to dedicate time outside of the investigation to help complete whatever needs to be completed, you may need to step forward as your groups Founder and resolve these situations.

Remember the investigation is MORE than the investigation. There are many steps into completing a case. It involves time and commitment. You have so much that has to be wrapped up before planning the next investigation. Consulting clients and Evidence Analysis is very time consuming and important.  These are only two examples of a list you could not imagine.

Among these team members you build a bond and a relationship with them as if they are a part of your family. You visit team members outside of the group for just plain get together’s and this means that you are more than comfortable around your peers and the pressure is relieved from going on investigations together.

For new groups, don’t get discouraged, it could take months to years to find those that are completely dedicated to paranormal research. There can be times of mishaps and mistakes, but with these mistakes you learn from them and put them in the past. If team members cannot be forgiving at times then something is definitely wrong. I assure you that members come and go, but there are a million more to fill the slots.

Each member of your team may or may not agree with what the Founder of a group has decided and most likely they will leave because things are not going their way.  But you have to be firm and stand by your own decision. After all, you are the Founder, you started the group and I am pretty sure you will not abandon it. In a perfect world everything is perfect, but unfortunately that is not the world we live in.

Serious investigators should have enough respect to come to their Founder with a problem, should any arise. Take your time choosing your members; make sure they understand how much work is involved in running a group and how much time they will have to commit to it. Through firsthand experience I have been there. I have had many members, whom I thought were my real friends, come to find out it was a different story because they do not agree with everything, but you have to assure that rules are being followed. You move on and start over because what else is there left to do.

Just remember, do not get discouraged. Things never stay the same and who knows maybe something better is around the corner.
